Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will prepare financial statements, verify financial records and transactions, analyze cash flow, review budgets and forecasts, oversee audits, and prepare regulatory reporting documentation. You will also assist with training and mentoring junior accounting staff while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial operations.
The ideal candidate has at least two years of professional accounting experience and a proven track record of delivering accurate, timely, and efficient financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Prepare financial statements and regulatory reporting documents.
- Analyze financial reports and provide insights to management.
- Maintain account balances and reconcile bank statements.
- Assist with audits, tax preparation, and compliance activities.
- Prepare financial reports for tax authorities, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
- Manage the general ledger and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Supervise junior accountants, accounting assistants, and other accounting staff.
- Support the Accounting Manager by preparing financial documentation and interpreting complex financial information for managers and executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 2+ years of professional accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Advanced understanding of bookkeeping, accounting best practices, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
