Position Title: Bookkeeper

About the Company
We are a growing construction company seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions and support the accounting functions of our organization. The ideal candidate will have bookkeeping experience, strong organizational skills, and a solid understanding of construction accounting practices.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Prepare invoices, payment applications, and customer billing
- Track project costs and job costing information
- Process payroll and maintain payroll records
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting
- Prepare and file sales tax and other required reports
- Monitor cash flow and assist with budget tracking
- Work closely with project managers and company leadership on financial matters
- Maintain organized electronic and physical accounting records
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Construction industry experience preferred
- Proficiency with QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online) or Sage
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations
- Experience with job costing and construction accounting is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
